Days of summer

Summer

Nothing says summer like Raspberries in the garden! I get two crops from my raspberries each season and love to make raspberry syrup! This syrup pairs well with sun tea!

It also tastes wonderful on pancakes!

Also great to add to your favorite cocktail! The possibilities are endless!

Raspberry simple syrup

Ingredients

  • Raspberries 1cup
  • Suger 1cup
  • Water 1cup

Directions

  1. Place the raspberries, sugar and water in a saucepan over medium to high heat. Stir occasionally. Use a fork to break down the raspberries, releasing their juices.
  2. Continue to heat the syrup for another 5 to 7 minutes until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  3. Once dissolved, remove the syrup from the stove and pass it through a fine mesh sieve to remove the raspberry chunks.
  4. Let the syrup come to room temperature before using or storing it.

Perfect use for all those delicious strawberries!
